Suggested Resources

Use Accessit. to search for Mackin ebooks.  Accessit is also included in your GoogleApps menu - look for the green square:    AC

You may search the catalog (and databases) in different ways about your topic. Look for:

  • General information about, natural disasters, weather, geology, astronomy,
  • A specific type of event such as tornado, earthquake, asteroid
  • The specific named event or disaster location such as Pompeii /Vesuvius, Hurricane Andrew, Cheyabinsk Airburst
    • You may include a specific date for locations that have had repeat events such as California Earthquake in 1906, 1989, or 1994.

Consider that one type of disaster may cause a secondary disaster.  For example hurricanes cause floods.  Droughts may cause sinkholes. Earthquakes may trigger tsunamis.

- METEOROLOGICALLY RELATED  (weather, but may also cause geological - landslides, sinkholes)
